On Friday, March 24, the sixth vessel was loaded as part of the Grain from Ukraine program.

“In the coming days, 30,000 tons of Ukrainian grain will be sent to Yemen. The donors of this aid were the USA, France and Spain,” said Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Oleksandr Kubrakov.

In general, 170,000 tons of humanitarian wheat have been sent from Ukraine to countries suffering from a food crisis since the initiative began. Thanks to this, it was possible to improve the humanitarian situation in Ethiopia, Somalia and Kenya.

The nearest plans are to export another 30,000 tons of wheat to Sudan.

According to the minister, they are currently working with more than 30 countries and institutions that have joined Grain from Ukraine.

“Despite the full-scale invasion of Russia, the aggressor’s sabotage of the “grain initiative” vessel inspection, we continue to be a responsible partner for the whole world. For this, we are also attracting new partners,” Oleksandr Kubrakov concluded.
