25 ships left Ukraine as part of the Grain from Ukraine program

Since the start of the Grain from Ukraine humanitarian initiative, 25 ships have left Ukraine with food for countries in need.

A total of 25 ships left Odesa ports within the scope of Grain from Ukraine, said the deputy director of the UN WFP Marianna Ward in an interview with “Interfax-Ukraine”.

The ships delivered 160,000 tons of agricultural products, which managed to feed 12 million people.

According to Marianna Ward, another vessel under the program will be sent this month, and another in August. Currently, it is known that these two ships will send 40 thousand tons of agricultural products, in particular, the July cargo with corn will be sent to Malaysia and Mozambique.

Ward added that Odesa region port infrastructure is being damaged, but the UN WFP insures cargo and ships against military risks.

Earlier, USM reported that Ukraine delivered wheat flour to Palestine within the framework of the Grain from Ukraine humanitarian program.
