Bulgaria closes its ports to all russian ships
Bulgaria will deny access to its ports to all vessels certified by the russian Maritime Shipping Register.
From April 8, access to sea and river ports in Bulgaria will be prohibited for all vessels, regardless of flag, that are certified by the russian Maritime Shipping Register, PortSEurope reports.
The decision is related to the European Union directive on the implementation of sanctions.
Back on April 17 last year, Bulgaria closed access to its ports to vessels flying the flag of russian federation. Now this ban applies to russian vessels flying the flags of other countries.
USM previously reported that the Bangladeshi government had banned 69 russian vessels from entering its ports. In fact, this means the impossibility of further trade between countries.
The ban on the entry of 69 russian ships to the ports of Bangladesh is in line with US and EU sanctions. russian ships will not be able to deliver imported goods, enter ports for refueling, anchor near the country’s shores and even use sea lanes.
