Freight rates in the Azov-Black Sea region continue to fall


During the last week, freight rates from the ports of the Azov-Black Sea region fell even lower.

So, the freight rates from the Black Sea ports by firecrackers decreased to $35.15/ton. This is reported by analysts of the International Seaborne Market. Rates for “handysize” shipments fell to $31.7/ton.

Freight rates in the Sea of Azov fell to $58.01/ton.

At the same time, the rates for shipment by “Panamax” increased slightly — up to $26.61/ton.

The cost of sending 25-30 thousand tons of wheat or corn from the ports of Odesa and Chornomorsk to the Eastern Mediterranean is $36/ton.

Shipping 5-6 thousand tons of wheat or corn from Reni to Beirut (Lebanon) or Mersin (Turkey) is estimated at $54.5/ton.

The cost of sending 60-70 thousand tons of corn from the ports of Great Odesa to China reaches $59.5/ton.
