Agrarians were exempted from paying taxes on mined and occupied lands
The Verkhovna Rada generally supported draft law No. 7632 on the exemption of farmers from paying tax for destroyed or damaged real estate.
The law exempts from the need to pay a fee for land, a minimum tax liability and a single tax for agricultural land, which is located in the territories where hostilities are being conducted or were conducted, or temporarily occupied by russian federation.
This also applies to lands that are under conservation or contaminated by explosive objects, the Ministry of Agricultural Policy reported.
“Farmers have been waiting for the adoption of this bill with impatience, because the need to pay taxes for land that is practically impossible to use, among other things, could push farmers to violate safety techniques. In particular, cultivating land that has not yet been demined or demining on your own, which is dangerous for life and health,” commented the Minister of Agricultural Policy, Mykola Solskyi.
For the sake of transparency in the application of the norms of the law, in terms of the exemption from taxation of mined and contaminated land plots, and in order to prevent abuse of benefits defined by law, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy will initiate a separate procedure for monitoring the use of such land plots.
