UDS earned UAH 496 million in net profit

Cash turnover of PJSC “Ukrainian Danube Shipping” in 2022 amounted to 1.695 billion hryvnias. The net profit of the company amounted to over  UAH 496 million.

In 2022, PJSC “Ukrainian Danube Shipping” earned UAH 496.035 million. At the same time, the proceeds of the UDS amounted to almost UAH 1.7 billion.

Such financial indicators were achieved thanks to the increase in freight traffic on the Danube. Due to the blockade of Ukrainian seaports at the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the main exports were redirected to the ports of Reni, Izmail and Ust-Dunaisk. As a result of the increased demand for exports through the Danube ports, the UDS mobilized 90% of its fleet.

For comparison, due to the war, the volume of cargo handling at the Izmail port increased to 8.9 million tons, compared to 4 million tons in 2021. Port Reni handled 6.8 million tons of cargo (in 2021, this figure was only 1.4 million tons). The volume of transshipment in Ust-Dunaisk increased to 785 thousand tons from 64 thousand tons, USPA reports.

Recently, USM wrote that the ports of Izmail, Reni and Ust-Dunaisk in 2022  received 809 million net profit in total.
