The volume of exports through the “grain corridor” are falling for the second week in a row


From May 1 to May 7, 2023, 10% less agricultural products were exported through the sea ports of Odesa than a week ago.

During the 40th week of operation of the “grain corridor”, 404,000 tons of agricultural products were sent through the ports of Great Odesa. This indicator is 10% less than the volume of shipments in the last week of April, reports UCAB.

So, from May 1 to May 7, 2023, only 11 vessels were loaded – as in the previous week. At the same time, the vessels are still awaiting inspection in the Bosphorus.

The largest export volumes during the 40th week of operation of the “grain corridor” were:

• wheat (41% of exports during this period);

• corn (40%);

• sunflower oil (13%).

In total, since the beginning of the “grain corridor”, Ukraine has exported 29.7 million tons of agricultural products to the countries of Europe, Asia and Africa.
