The anti-corruption court arrested the ex-director of Odesa Port Plant in absentia

The higher anti-corruption court chose a preventive measure for the former acting Director of JSC “Odesa Port Plant”.
On Monday, May 8, the Investigative Judge of the State Criminal Court of Ukraine chose a preventive measure against the former acting director of JSC “Odesa Port Plant”, reports the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office.
We are talking about one of the participants of the criminal organization, which in the course of 2019-2021 seized more than UAH 500 million of the funds of state-owned enterprises — “Odesa Port Plant” and “United Mining and Chemical Company.”
VAKS chose a preventive measure for the suspect in the form of detention. After his detention, the investigating judge will decide on the application of this preventive measure.
The members of the scheme also include:
• a person close to the head of the FSMU who is considered a co-organizer of the crime;
• advisor to the head of the Federal State University;
• two persons who at different times held the positions of acting directors of JSC “Odesa Port Plant”;
• Acting director of JSC “United Mining and Chemical Company”;
• two owners of LLC, winners of the auction at “OPP”;
• two more natural persons whom the investigation considers complicit in the crime.
As previously reported by USM, in April 2023, the ex-head of the State Property Fund, Dmytro Sennichenko, was declared wanted.
