The third attempt: the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi port was put up for auction again

The starting price for the privatization of the port of Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi increased from UAH 93.7 to UAH 184.9 million.

“This will be the third attempt to privatize the Bilhorod-Dniester port. The first auction was supposed to take place on March 3, but no one applied for participation. The second auction took place on March 13, but the winner did not pay for the lot,” said Oleksandr Slavskyi , head of the regional branch of the State Property Fund for Odesa and Mykolaiv regions.

This time the starting price of the lot has changed. This was influenced by the new reporting and book value of assets.

The auction is scheduled for June 6, 2023, the starting price is UAH 184.9 million (VAT is added to the final sale amount).

“The port needs investments and modernization to start full-fledged operation. And this is possible only thanks to the involvement of a private investor,” Oleksandr Slavskyi added.

As previously reported by USM, last time the winner of the auction lost the guarantee fee, which was immediately transferred to the state budget (18.7 million UAH), and the opportunity to participate in the bidding for this object.
