Kim: Mykolaiv ports can join the Grain Agreement
The ports of Mykolaiv Region are ready to be involved in the Grain Initiative.
Currently, everything is ready for Ukrainian and foreign ships to leave Mykolaiv ports. In the future, everything will depend on political decisions. This was announced by the head of Mykolayiv Regional Military Administration Vitalyi Kim.
However, plans to join the Mykolaiv Region to the Grain Agreement are currently at a standstill. This is connected with the threat of constant shelling by the Russian Federation from the Kinburn Spit.
The official also recalled that the last time Ukraine tried to withdraw the Nibulon barges, they were fired upon.
Previously, USM wrote that Ukraine can double its grain exports in case of unblocking Mykolaiv ports.
