The port of Chornomorsk has become a leader in the processing of grain cargoes


According to the indicators of the Grain Agreement, the Chornomorsk seaport is a leader in the processing of grain cargoes. We are talking about tonnage and the number of ship calls.

The port of Chornomorsk demonstrates effective performance, writes the Ukrainain Sea Ports Authority .

In the conditions of martial law, the state stevedore is the leader in the processing of grain cargoes both in terms of tonnage and the number of ship calls, compared to other ports of Greater Odessa.

“Since August 1, 380 ships have left the port through the “grain corridor”, which exported more than 11 million tons of Ukrainian agricultural products to the countries of Africa, Asia and Europe,” stressed AMPU head Yuriy Lytvyn.

Also, during the meeting at the port of Black Sea, the management of the AMPU got acquainted with the current state of the port facilities and terminals of the port, as well as with the prospects for the implementation of water area development projects.

As previously reported by USM, as of May 22, 2023, the costs of the idling of the fleet in the port of Pivdennyi due to the actions of the Russian Federation have already exceeded $50 million.
