“Nibulon” talked about the flooded elevators and the consequences of blowing up the Kakhovska HPP

The Nibulon company commented on the consequences of the terrorist attack by the Russians at the Kakhovska HPP for business and all spheres of life in Ukraine.
The infrastructure of “Nibulon” on the Dnipro was destroyed even before the terrorist attack by the Rashists at the Kakhovska HPP. In particular, the company did not operate the flooded Kozatsk branch, which was destroyed in 2022, the occupied Holoprystansk and Kamianka-Dniprovsk branches.
“Our logistics channels, given the already existing blockade of river shipping and the fleet, were also not directly affected by the blow-up of the hydroelectric power plant, and the production facilities and land bank did not enter the area directly affected by the flooding. However, we are not able to understand all the consequences of this event for our business today. We can see the impact on the price of wheat: +3%, and this is just the beginning,” the press service noted.

The company was also involved in the restoration and further use of the Dnipro as the central transport artery of Ukraine. .
The department emphasized that the terrorist attack will have an impact on the financial, economic, ecological spheres and the population’s life support system.
“From the flooding of settlements, the destruction of biodiversity in the surrounding territories, the destruction of river logistics, which gave life to enterprises, jobs, enabled the country and manufacturers to move up to 60 million tons of cargo annually at a cost three times lower than transportation by road. And ending with provision of fresh water, because in the structure of water consumption in Ukraine, 65% of fresh water was taken from the Dnipro basin,” the company added.
As previously reported by USM, in May 2023, the Nibulon company resumed the operation of all river terminals in the territory currently controlled by Ukraine. It was also about the partial restoration of transportation on the Dnipro.
