As a result of the explosion of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station, the port of Kherson was also under water.
Floating cranes, port facilities and boats were partly under water. Kherson boxer Andrii Petukhov posted a photo and video from the scene of the event in a story on Instagram.
After the explosion of the Kakhovska HPP, the athlete, together with other volunteers, is engaged in the evacuation of people and animals from flooded areas by boat.
Previously, the USM reported that there are approximately 50 vessels in the water area of the Kakhovsky Reservoir. They plan to relocate higher up the Dnieper. The redeployment of ships from their base locations will pass through the Zaporizhzhia gateway.
Also, the Shipping Administration offered Kherson Regional Military Administration its boats for assistance. Mobile laboratories are also traveling to Kherson Region from Odesa to monitor environmental pollution.

The disaster has already caused tragic consequences in the form of water pollution, a sea of fish and the flooding of the Kherson region.
