The slipway will be reconstructed at the Kilia Shipyard

The slip will be reconstructed at the Kilia Shipbuilding and Repair Plant, which is a structural unit of the UDS.
The plant plans to reconstruct the blind. This is stated on the website of the Unified Register of Environmental Impact Assessment.
The reconstruction of the slip will help the plant to repair and build vessels of larger capacity for the Ukrainian Danube Shipping Company.
As part of the works on the blind, a major replacement of the rails will be carried out, as well as the horizontal part of the blind will be expanded. This will allow the plant to service river-sea class vessels up to 120 m in length with a dock weight of up to 2,000 tons.
SE “ChornomorNDIproekt” was chosen as the contractor.
The design cost is UAH 6.95 million. Project work will be carried out until August 31. Reconstruction works will begin no earlier than September, according to information in the tender documentation on Zakupki.prom.
Previously, USM reported that the Kilia Shipbuilding and Ship Repair Plant has overhauled seven barges with full hull painting since the beginning of the year.
Thus, the enterprise repaired and painted barges SLG-009, SLG-007, C-406, C-408. Barges C-445, SlG-008 are still in process. Each of the barges underwent a full repair cycle, which takes an average of 45 days.
