Rescuers localize the oil stain in the reservoirs of the Kherson Region

In Kherson, rescuers are collecting an oil slick that leaked as a result of the Russians blowing up the Kakhovska HPP.
“This morning, we fixed a large oil stain that leaked from the engine room of the Kakhovska HPP during the terrorist attack. Rescuers are currently collecting this oil so that it does not get further into the reservoirs,” said the Minister of Internal Affairs Ihor Klymenko on the air of the telethon.
Water is taken from all wells on the territory of Kherson region. Fences are also carried out in the Dnieper estuary and on the Black Sea coast.

According to the minister, the heavy water began to recede gradually, and for the third day in a row, operational services have recorded a decline.
“Currently, the water has started to recede, for the third day we are recording the receding of water at around 50-53 cm per day, utility services are starting to work. Investigative groups, criminalists, sappers are starting to work from today. We have prepared 33 sapper calculations that will inspect all 55 high-rise buildings, all industries that are on this territory and which, of course, are mostly destroyed,” Klymenko added.
As previously reported by USM, on the night of June 6, 2023, the Russians blew up the Kakhovska HPP dam.
