Turtles, snakes and newts were rescued in the port of Odesa

Employees of the Odesa port rescued the animals that were taken out of the Kakhovskyi reservoir.

After the terrorist attack on the Kakhovska HPP, various animals were carried by the water flow to the water area of the Odesa seaport. Port employees were able to save coot chicks, newts, marsh turtles and snakes, reported on the Odesa Zoo Facebook page.

All the animals were placed in the zoo, they were provided with assistance and will soon be released into their usual habitat.

As previously reported by USM, in addition to garbage, an exhausted bird was brought the Odesa seaport. She was rescued and handed over to specialists.
