Ports and railways: the US will allocate $1.3 billion to Ukraine for reconstruction
US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken announced the US government’s decision to allocate $1.3 billion to Ukraine for energy system repair and infrastructure development.
“The United States will provide Ukraine with an additional $1.3 billion,” US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said during a speech at the Conference on the Reconstruction of Ukraine in London, LIGA.Business writes.
Half of this amount, $657 million, will be spent on restoring Ukraine’s vital infrastructure, such as railways, ports and border crossings.
Another $520 million was allocated for the restoration of energy facilities damaged by Russian shelling.
In addition, the United States allocates $100 million to Ukraine for the digitization of Ukraine’s customs systems to speed up operations and reduce the human factor.
