A new record: UDS loaded a bulk carrier with 22,700 tons of grain
UDS loaded the ship Matteo BR with 22,700 tons of Ukrainian agricultural products. Competition on the Danube is growing between ports.
“In June, the demand for UPS’s complex logistics service, which includes transshipment in Kili, river freight and transshipment to a sea vessel board-to-board in the port of Constanta, is growing rapidly,” Ukrainian Danube Shipping Company reports.
The stevedoring complex of UDS Kilia continues to cooperate with the port of Constanta (Romania).
The combination of transshipment and UDS freight helps customers consolidate large batches of products, which allows for quick loading of vessels with a deadweight of up to 50,000 tons.

At the same time, the UDS emphasized that their advantage is the ability to “load large sea vessels that are not served in ports on the Danube.”
However, recently, as USM wrote, a ship with a record deadweight and record length entered the port of Izmail for loading. We are talking about a bulker with a deadweight of almost 24,000 tons.
We will remind, as of 2021, SE “IZM MTP” had 24 moorings with a total length of 2618.6 m. The capabilities of the berths of SE “IZM MTP” allowed to receive and place for cargo operations vessels with a draft of up to 7 meters, a length of up to 150 meters, a width up to 30 meters, deadweight up to 6000 tons.
