Neizhpapa: the Russian fleet is afraid to approach the coast of Odesa
The naval forces of the invaders do not approach the shores of Odessa at a distance of less than 100 nautical miles.
The military fleet of the aggressor country has not approached the Odessa coast for a long time, less than 100 miles. The commander of the Ukrainian fleet, Vice Admiral Oleksii Neizhpapa, said this in an interview with ArmiyaInform.
Currently, there is a “gray zone” between the Navy of Ukraine and the fleet of the invaders, which covers 25,000 km.
Neizhpapa emphasized that since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the potential of the Ukrainian Navy has grown. In particular, both the assistance of Western partners and the creation of domestic missile complexes “Neptune” contributed to the strengthening of Ukraine’s maritime border.
According to the vice admiral, a headquarters was created in Ukraine, which is developing an operation to clear the mines of the Black Sea at the first opportunity. NATO countries can join the demining process.
Also, on July 2, a meeting of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy with the command of the Navy of Ukraine was held in Odesa. During the meeting, the officials discussed the directions of use of the naval drone fleet.
“We implement everything! Assured! The enemy will certainly not dictate the conditions in the Black Sea, and the occupiers will have to be as afraid to approach our Ukrainian Crimea and our shores of the Sea of Azov as Russian ships are already afraid to approach our Black Sea coast,” the President commented on the results of the meeting.
