The Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol informed the captain of a Russian vessel that was transporting stolen Ukrainian grain of suspicion.
The Prosecutor’s Office of the Autonomous Region informed about the suspicion of the captain of the Russian ship “ANT”, which is involved in the transportation of looted grain. So, the Russian made at least 7 visits to the closed ports of Sevastopol and Kerch.
According to the investigation, the captain periodically turned off the AIS and entered into it false information about the course of the vessel, which was allegedly heading to the ports of the Russian Federation, and not to the closed ports of the occupied peninsula.
The Russian’s actions were classified as a violation of the procedure for entering and leaving the temporarily occupied territory of Crimea. The suspect faces up to 5 years in prison, the Prosecutor’s Office said.
