Turkey plans to “avoid a crisis” on the part of the Russian Federation regarding the Grain Agreement

The press secretary of the Justice and Development Party, Omer Celik, said that Turkey expects to avoid a crisis regarding the “grain agreement” on the part of the Russian Federation.

“I do not think that there will be any negativity in the rhythm of Turkish-Russian relations. The grain deal experienced a bit of turbulence, but then got back on track,” explained Omer Çelik.

According to the press secretary, Turkey has noticed that Putin, as well as Erdogan, are concerned about the issue of the “grain agreement”.

“There is a desire not to worsen the situation with hunger in poor countries. In any case, I do not expect a crisis. I think that there will be contact between our president and Mr. Putin on this issue,” added Celik.

Earlier it became known that UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres offered Russian President Putin to extend the Grain agreement in exchange for connecting the subsidiary of Rossilhospbank to SWIFT.
