A new grain terminal will be built in the port of Izmail

Construction of a new warehouse grain terminal began in Izmail port.

The company Soul Marine is engaged in the creation of a new grain terminal on the Danube. So far, the builders have completed the preparatory work and signed a contract with the main contractor, the director of the company, Ivan Nyakyi said in an interview with the “Ports of Ukraine” publication.

At the first stage, the volume of simultaneous grain storage will amount to 20,000 tons. In total, the company is building 4 warehouses for grain – 5 thousand tons each. In the future, they plan to install the necessary equipment for cargo handling.

According to Nyaskyi, the first 10,000 tons of grain will be sent to the terminal at the end of August, the second batch is scheduled for mid-September.

The terminal will not have its own berth. Soul Marine will operate through other port operators at various Ishmael berths. The main port terminal targeted by Soul Marine is Dunaysudoremont PJSC. The company will also work with SE “Izmail Sea Trade Port”.
