At night, the Russians again attacked the port infrastructure of Odesa. This time they aimed missiles at the grain terminals.
On the night of July 21, Russia attacked Odesa region with missiles that hit the grain terminals of one of the agricultural enterprises, the head of the joint press center of OC “Pivden” Nataliya Humenyuk reported on the air of the national telethon.
Kalibr cruise missiles were fired over Odesa from a missile carrier that was put on duty in the Black Sea at night.
Humenyuk said that the rockets were directed “on a very difficult course using the features of the terrain, in particular the features of the Black Sea itself.”
According to her, the hit actually happened at the same time as the air warning signal, because it is very difficult to detect missiles in such circumstances.
Odesa Regional Military Administration specified that the enemy destroyed 100 tons of peas and 20 tons of barley with today’s attack.
Two people were injured as a result of the explosion. They received cut wounds with glass. They were provided with the necessary medical assistance.
After withdrawing from the Grain Agreement, Russia began targeted attacks on the ports of Great Odesa, which were involved in the export of Ukrainian agricultural products through the “grain corridor”.
So, on July 18, the Russians launched several waves of attack drones in the south of Ukraine, after which they released 6 Kalibrs in Odesa. Debris from the downed missiles and the blast wave from the downing damaged the port infrastructure facilities.
On July 19, raiders hit the grain and oil terminals of international and Ukrainian traders and carriers Kernel, Viterra, CMA CGM Group.
On July 20, the Russians resorted to another powerful missile-drone attack aimed at Ukrainian ports.
