Freight rates in the Azov-Black Sea region are increasing


During the last week, freight rates from the ports of the Azov-Black Sea region, for the most part, increased. It is most noticeable in the Danube region.

So, the freight rates from the Black Sea ports by firecrackers increased to $26.38/ton. This is reported by analysts of the International Seaborne Market. Rates for “handysize” shipments increased to $25.92/ton.

Freight rates in the Sea of Azov rose to $37.59/ton.

At the same time, rates for shipment by “Panamax” fell to $23.09/ton.

The cost of sending 8-10 thousand tons of wheat or corn from the ports of Izmail and Reni to Mersin (Turkey) or Beirut (Lebanon) increased to $44.5/ton.

Sending 3,000 tons of wheat from the Russian Federation (port of Rostov) to the Sea of Marmara will cost $32.5/ton. And transportation of 45-50 thousand tons of barley from Novorossiysk to Jeddah (Saudi Arabia) will cost $26.5/ton.
