Grain truck rental prices are rising again

In August, the cost of transporting grain in wagons will increase somewhat — after a significant discount in July.
Rates for grain trucks in July will increase by UAH 100 to UAH 400 per day. The cost of renting half-cars will also increase by UAH 100 and will amount to UAH 1,400 per day. This is reported on the Ukrzaliznytsia website.
At the same time, the cost of renting universal and fitting platforms will decrease — to UAH 3,800/day and UAH 1,100/day, respectively.
The rates for renting mineral carriers also fell by UAH 200 — to UAH 1,300 per day.
As a reminder, in June 2023, the cost of transporting grain in wagons was UAH 3,650 per day. In July, the tariff was reduced 12 times to UAH 300 per day.
Earlier, logistics market expert Yuriy Shchuklin said that the cost of renting grain wagons in 2023 will be the lowest in history.
