“Naftogaz” hands over two tugboats to the Navy of Ukraine

Naftogaz of Ukraine group of companies hands over two tugboats to the Ukrainian Navy.

The relevant decision was taken by the board of Naftogaz of Ukraine, the company reported.

Ukrtransnafta, which is part of the group, will transfer two mooring tugs to the fleet of the Navy of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Before the start of the full-scale invasion, maneuverable tugs “Lviv” and “Ukrtransnafta” were used during the mooring of tankers with oil at the Marine Oil Terminal “Pivdennyi”.

Both vessels were not damaged after the start of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, are afloat and equipped with the necessary equipment.

In particular, tugboats can be used to bring large-sized ships into and out of the port, to moor and unmoor ships, to heel ships, tow port barges and other floating objects.
