A joint special operation of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine with the support of the Naval Forces took place in the occupied Crimea.

On the night of August 24, an operation by the Defence Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine with the support of the Navy took place in the temporarily occupied Crimea. Special units on watercraft landed on the shore near the settlements of Olenivka and Mayak, the intelligence agency reported .

During the execution of the task, the Ukrainian defenders engaged in combat with the units of the occupier. As a result, the enemy suffered losses among personnel, enemy equipment was destroyed. Also, the state flag flew again in the Ukrainian Crimea.

All goals and tasks have been completed. At the end of the special operation, the Ukrainian defenders left the scene of the events without any casualties, the Defense Intelligence noted.

The department added that the occupation administration of Crimea does not comment on the events, despite the mass appeals of local residents. The only message refers to supposedly “destruction of munitions according to a set schedule.”

“Ukrainian Defense Forces will continue to assist the occupiers in destroying ammunition, equipment and manpower,” the scouts promised.
