The ship, which was on its way from Ukraine, got into an accident, but refused the help (video)
The cargo ship got into trouble on the way from Ukraine to Turkey, but refused the help.
The bulk carrier Amanos probably broke up in the Black Sea, in the waters of Romania and Bulgaria, Fleetmon reports.
In the video, the vessel appears as if water is entering its starboard side.
The ship anchored off the coast of Romania. On August 26, the maritime authorities of Romania were alerted about the condition and status of the vessel, but the dry cargo did not ask for help. Moreover, the vessel refused any assistance offered by the Romanian SAR agency ARSVOM.
But, just in case, the rescuers brought the multipurpose vessel Brizo, the Depol vessel and a sea tug to the area. On Sunday, the cargo captain reported that there was no hole on the vessel, so the vessel headed for Cape Kaliakra in Bulgarian territorial waters.
Currently, the dry cargo is located near the Bulgarian coast. Amanos sails from Kilia, Ukraine to Tekirdag, Turkey.
