Verkhovna Rada appointed a new head of the State Property Fund

Rustem Umyerov became the new head of the State Property Fund.
282 deputies voted for the relevant decision, People’s Deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak reported in Telegram.
Rustem Umyerov (40 years old) is a politician and businessman of Crimean Tatar origin, a People’s Deputy. He earned a bachelor’s degree in economics and a master’s degree in finance at the National Academy of Management.
Since 2020, he is the co-chairman of the Crimean Platform deputy association in the Verkhovna Rada. He was a member of the Ukrainian delegation at the negotiations with Russia.
Before Umerov’s appointment, the State Property Fund was headed by Olga Batova. She resigned in July.
