“Playing a cynical game”: the head of the German Foreign Ministry on Putin and the suspension of the Grain Agreement

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Germany gave an assessment of the situation surrounding the Grain Agreement, as well as Russian attacks on the port infrastructure of Ukraine.

“Putin is playing a cynical game using the grain agreement,” the minister said after a meeting with Romanian Foreign Minister Luminica Odobescu in Berlin, writes European Truth.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Germany called the efforts of Turkish Recep Erdogan to restore the grain agreement important and accused Russia of intensifying the critical food situation in the world.

  “Only because of Putin, cargo ships do not have free passage through the Black Sea again. Thereby, Russia increases global hunger,” Baerbock said.
