Ukraine will use “Boiko towers” to strengthen control in the Black Sea

The defense forces will use the “Boiko towers” to strengthen control in the Black Sea and prepare for further actions in Crimea.

Andriy Yusov, representative of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, stated this during the telethon “Edyny Novyni”.

“We will not comment on what regime they will be in, but now we can look at the Zmiinyi Island, which is under Ukrainian control and is used by the Ukrainian Security and Defense Forces. Actually, the “Boiko towers” will also be used by our Security and Defense Forces,” Yusov said.

According to him, this is another step towards regaining Ukrainian control over the waters of the Black Sea — after the destruction of the cruiser “Moscow” and after the release of Zmiinyi.

He also noted that the enemy may attempt to return the platforms under their control, but Ukrainian defenders are preparing for this.
