GC “Prometheus” opened its first foreign branch in Egypt
The company in Egypt went on sale with a volume of 100-150 thousand tons per month.
The owner and chairman of the supervisory board, Rafael Goroyan, told about the opening of its own branch of Prometheus Group in Egypt, as reported on the company’s Facebook page.
According to him, the company has already established relations with Egyptian agricultural producers – flour millers, producers of compound feed.
“I had plans to open a branch in Egypt and go into retail. In fact, the distribution gave us very favorable conditions, because Egypt and Ukraine are well connected in terms of logistics, especially during the war across the Danube. This is the most profitable short shoulder to Egypt,” said Rafael Goroyan.
Currently, the branch has already sold 100-150 thousand tons per month. Also, not only Ukrainian products are sold in Egypt.
“We buy 50-60% of products not in Ukraine, but import, for example, corn from Brazil, soybeans from Argentina, other products are bought in European countries. In this way, we are actively competing with Russia, which is selling, having already learned how to circumvent sanctions,” emphasized the owner of Prometheus JSC.
