British intelligence: Russia may again attack civilian vessels in the Black Sea

British intelligence learned about Russia’s new plans to attack ships in the Black Sea. In particular, the Russian Federation can plant explosive devices on the approaches to Ukrainian ports.

“Russia continues to spend enormous resources on its self-destructive war. The longer the Russian Federation fights, the more it loses and the weaker it becomes. It suffered almost 200,000 casualties and 50,000 of its soldiers were killed,” said Nicholas Ocott, senior military adviser to the British delegation to the OSCE.

According to him, despite the loss, the Russian Federation continues “this morally repulsive campaign.”

The diplomat recalled that last month British intelligence declassified data according to which Russian soldiers wanted to hit a cargo ship in a Ukrainian port with missiles.

“Last week, the UK declassified new intelligence suggesting that Russia may continue to attack civilian shipping, including planting explosive devices on the approaches to Ukrainian ports,” Okott added.
