Kernel topped the top 5 grain exporters from Ukraine in 2022/23 MY
Kernel, Louis Dreyfus Company and Cargill became the leaders of Ukrainian grain exports in 2022-2023 MY.
In the 2022/23 season, grain exports from Ukraine amounted to approximately 49 million tons, which is 1 million tons more than in the previous marketing year, the Share UA Potential. portal reports.
Since a significant share of Ukrainian grain was exported via alternative routes, and only 55% — via Ukrainian deep-sea ports, significant changes took place in the structure of exporters compared to previous years.
“These changes are due to the fact that export via alternative routes is more fragmented, the share of the largest players in it almost never exceeds 5-7% (currently, the exception is Nibulon, which makes a big bet on its port terminal on the Danube, even if it is possible exports through deep-sea ports),” the analysts noted.
According to the financial report of the Kernel group for the financial year 2022/23, it was this group with a share of 8% that became the largest exporter of grain from Ukraine in the season that ended.
In second place among exporters was the Louis Dreyfus company, whose share was 7%. It is worth noting that the top 5 also included Cargill, Nibulon and ADM.
In general, the top ten exporters in the 2022/23 season are as follows:
