The Russian military fleet entered the territorial waters of the Netherlands
Units of the Dutch Navy escorted three Russian ships in the North Sea that entered the country’s exclusive economic zone.
On December 9, Russian ships entered the exclusive economic zone of the Netherlands in the North Sea. The Russian team consisted of a frigate, a submarine and a tugboat. The ships probably headed for the Mediterranean. This was reported by the Ministry of Defense of the Netherlands.
Russian ships accompanied units of the Dutch Navy “to emphasize vigilance.”
In March, the Dutch Navy escorted another group of Russian ships in the North Sea. At the same time, in 2022, the Russian ship was turned back. According to the military intelligence of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Netherlands managed to disrupt the sabotage operation of the Russian Federation. Recently, Russian ships have been mapping internet cables, gas pipelines and wind farms off the coast of the Netherlands, which could mean preparations to sabotage the country’s energy infrastructure.
