The new generation of SBU sea drones is capable of naval combat

SeaBaby surface drones of the Security Service of Ukraine not only carry explosives, but can also shoot at the enemy.

The new generation of SeaBaby surface drones developed by the Security Service of Ukraine use a more powerful explosive charge and can also fire at the enemy. This is stated in the material of Ukrainska Pravda

The combat part of naval drones was increased several times and increased from 108 to 850 kilograms (explosives). Also, the best communication systems are used for SeaBaby, each of which costs more than 300 thousand dollars, and the body is made of a material invisible to radars.

In particular, there is already a flamethrower system on drones, which allows you to conduct a naval battle in the literal sense.

The media also showed footage of the first-ever battle between naval drones and coastal ships. The video shows the SeaBaby firing at Russian boats that had went out of one of the Crimean military ports to sink the drones. But the drones, instead of running away, turned around and opened fire in return.

Also, on July 17, 2023, the Crimean Bridge was struck by the new SeaBaby.

According to the head of the SBU, Vasyl Malyuk, successful drone attacks proved that this is one of the effective ways of countering the enemy at sea. “We have started to scale up the use of surface drones. Today, the SBU uses SeaBaby drones. These are new and more advanced generations of marine drones. No private companies are involved in this development. A team of SBU specialists, engineers, IT technicians and military sailors is working on it,” Vasyl Malyuk said.
