Turkey will help to unlock Mykolaiv ports, — Zelenskyy

Ukraine is considering expanding the maritime corridor through the Black Sea.

Turkey can assist Ukraine in resuming shipping from the ports of Mykolaiv region. This was stated by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy at the forum “Ukraine. The year is 2024”, writes “Ukrinform”.

“I believe that President Erdogan can help us open the sea in the Mykolayiv region. I know that Turkey has discussed the possibilities of free navigation in the Black Sea with UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres. We are ready for such a conversation. We believe that this issue can be resolved at the first inaugural summit,” Zelenskyy said.

The president emphasized that Ukraine is not looking for an alternative to the maritime corridor from the ports of Great Odesa, but “will be glad” to expand it.

Previously, USM wrote that the work of the maritime corridor contributed to the growth of GDP in Ukraine.

We will remind you that 93% of Ukrainian agricultural products are currently exported through the ports of Great Odesa and the Danube.
