UZ transported a record 14.5 million tons of cargo in February

According to the results of February 2024, Ukrzaliznytsia transported 14.5 million tons of cargo.

This is a record of freight transportation by Ukrzaliznytsia since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, reported on the Telegram page of the Ministry of Reconstruction of Ukraine.

Thus, in February UZ transported 14.5 million tons of cargo, which is 3% more than in January and a third more than in February 2023.

“This indicates stability in the increase of export volumes and the fulfillment of our basic task – reaching the indicators of 2021,” – emphasized the Minister of Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development Oleksandr Kubrakov.

It will be recalled that in January UZ transported 2.7 million grain cargo to the ports of Ukraine.

As previously reported by USM, in February, a record 8 million tons of cargo were exported through the sea corridor.
