Odesa port received equipment for restoration and reconstruction from Japan


The port of Odesa received from Japan modern equipment for the restoration and reconstruction of the port infrastructure.

Odesa Port has received another tranche of aid from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), АМПУ  reported.

The port received a modern Komatsu WA320-5 wheel loader, which will allow the restoration and reconstruction of the port infrastructure.

And the previously delivered six Volvo diesel generators based on Iveco cars will be able to fully meet the electricity needs of branch administrations not only of the ports of Great Odesa, but can be sent to any branch of SE “USPA”, noted the head of the enterprise, Yurii Lytvyn.

The project of emergency recovery and reconstruction is implemented with the financial assistance of the Government of Japan, from the side of Ukraine, the beneficiaries are the Ministry of Development of Communities, Territories and Infrastructure of Ukraine and the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine.

Earlier, USM reported that Ukraine has provided the branches of the port administrations of Great Odesa with protection in case of long-term power outages.
