The Ukrainian Armed Forces attacked the “Kostyantin Olshanskyi” Large Landing Craft in Crimea
The Armed Forces of Ukraine hit the Large Landing Craft “Kostyantyn Olshansky” in Crimea.
The attack was made on a ship that was appropriated by the Russians after the occupation of Crimea in 2014. Dmytro Pletenchuk, spokesman for the Navy of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, said this, hromadske reports.
According to him, after the occupation of Crimea, “Kostyantyn Olshansky” was idle for a long time in the bay of Sevastopol, and the ship itself was dismantled for spare parts.
However, the Large Landing Craft was later restored, and the Russians tried to pass it off as their restored amphibious assault ship “Minsk” or “Olenegorsky Gornyak”, which the Ukrainian military had attacked earlier.
“Kostyantyn Olshansky” was attacked with a “Neptune” missile. Pletenchuk added that data on the damage to the ship is currently being clarified.
