Kazakhstan resumed oil exports through the terminal in Batumi

In March, through the Batumi oil terminal, the load on the berthless pouring of dark oil products produced at Kazakhstan refineries was restored.
Oil products are loaded onto Aframax tankers in batches of 60-80 thousand tons, Enkorr writes with reference to the press service of KazTransOil.
Shipments are sent to European countries.
It is planned to load dark oil products of Kazakh origin in the port of Batumi on a monthly basis. The restoration of this work is connected with the diversification of transit and transport routes for the transportation of goods from Kazakhstan.
The shipment of heavy fuel oil and VGO (vacuum gas oil) in large-tonnage batches has actually been stopped since October 2018.
Shipment of dark oil products in large-tonnage batches on Aframax type tankers allows clients of the Batumi Oil Terminal to reduce transportation costs.
As previously reported by USM, Kazakhstan is buying tankers to transport its oil through the Caspian and Black seas. Thus, the country can look for an alternative to the main export pipeline through the Russian Federation.
