In the Russian port of Tolyatti, on April 8, around 9:50 a.m., a fire broke out in the residential compartment of the pleasure boat “Imperiya”. This was reported by the Volga Transport Prosecutor’s Office of the Russian Federation.

The fire started as soon as the ship sailed from the shore. Only the crew was on board, he managed to dock in the port and evacuate. The fire spread over an area of 200 square meters. m, cabins on two decks were on fire. Fires have been given an increased level of danger. The Russians sent 61 firefighters and 18 pieces of equipment to the scene in the river port of Togliatti.

As a result of the fire, the bow of the ship flooded. Now the Russians are trying to pump water out of the hold and prevent oil spillage.

As USM wrote, the day before the fire broke out on the unique Russian icebreaker “Cathrine the Great”. One Russian died as a result of the fire. Three more people are in hospital.
