Ukraine exports 1 million tons of grain to China within two months
As of the beginning of April, 1,471 million tons of grain, oil and processed products were exported by water transport and planned for shipment.
Traders expect to send about 600,000 tons of corn from Ukraine to China in April. Another 400,000 tons of agricultural crops will be exported to China in May, Spike Brokers reports.
The rates of “Panamax” sea freight in the direction of China have decreased. The cost of river transportation remained unchanged – compared to last week.

Market rates for transporting grain from Chornomorsk are:
• in the direction of Spain — 31-33 dollars (30-35 thousand tons);
• to the Eastern coast of Italy — 29-31 dollars (30-35 thousand tons);
• in the direction of Portugal — 33-35 dollars (30-35 thousand tons);
• in the direction of China — 60-62 dollars (60-65 thousand tons).
Market rates for transporting grain from the port of Izmail are:
• to Constanta (Romania) — 13-18 euros (4.5-5 thousand tons);
• to Krems-on-Danube (Austria) — 40-42 euros (9 thousand tons);
• to Kelheim (Germany) — 40-42 euros (9 thousand tons).
The day before, USM wrote that in the first week of April, freight rates for the transportation of grain by barges from the Danube ports decreased significantly.
