The incident took place in the Arkhangelsk region — in the north of the Russian Federation.

The Russian self-propelled ferry “SP-18” with a load of 18 tons was swept away by an ice floe. The vessel was on a winter layover in the Arkhangelsk region, rosZMI writes.

Right now, the operator of the motor ship, Pravy Bereg LLC, is conducting surveillance to try to bring the ferry to the shore.

Reference: the SP-18 self-propelled ferry is 12 meters long and 5 meters wide. The height of the board is 0.9-1.2 meters. The displacement of the vessel is 10 tons.

Earlier this month, the ship “Imperia” caught fire and sank in the Russian Federation.
