The ambassador of Ukraine in Poland called on farmers to lift the border blockade

The diplomat urged Polish farmers not to believe in Russian myths, but instead to listen to their own government.

Ambassador of Ukraine to Poland Vasyl Zvarych appealed to Polish farmers to stop blocking checkpoints on the common border.

“The Polish government listens and supports you, makes important decisions for you, which help to solve your urgent needs. The Polish government has created opportunities for you to receive subsidies and direct payments. In the EU institutions, the Polish government succeeded in revising the provisions of the “green order”, convinced other EU countries to apply certain restrictions on trade with Ukraine, which will come into effect from June this year, Zvarych said.

The ambassador also noted that thanks to the activity of the Polish government, the EU will soon stop importing agricultural products from Russia and Belarus. In this way, new opportunities for the sale of Polish products in EU countries will open up.

“Don’t believe in the myths that the transit of Ukrainian grain through Poland creates problems for you. Transit goods do not remain in Poland. Polish ports are only 60% loaded and you have every opportunity to export your grain through your ports,” the ambassador urged.

The diplomat assured that the continuation of blocking the border with Ukraine is not only groundless, but also harmful to Poland’s economy, without the development of which the possibility of additional payments to Polish farmers will decrease.

“Ahead of us is a common European future. Together, we must use the potential of cooperation and partnership for the well-being of our present and future generations. Help Ukraine to endure, protect itself and you from the Russian aggressor. Our victory is a guarantee that a Russian dirty boot will never come to your home, and you will never hear in Poland the sounds of explosions from Russian missiles and cries for those who died in the war,” concluded Vasyl Zvarych.
