The court arrested the Minister of Agricultural Policy, Mykola Solskyi

The law enforcement officers gave the official the right to post bail in the amount of 75.7 million UAH.
The Higher Anti-Corruption Court imposed a preventive measure on Mykola Solskyi in the form of arrest with a bail of more than 75 million UAH. This is reported by “Ukrinform”.
“Apply to Solsky a preventive measure in the form of detention. Determine Solsky’s bail in the amount of 25,000 subsistence minimums for able-bodied persons, which is 75,700,000 hryvnias. The term of validity of the decision regarding the application of a preventive measure is 60 days, until June 24, 2024, inclusive,” said the judge.
In the case of bail, the minister will be released from custody, but he must appear at every request to the NABU detective, the prosecutor, the investigating judge, the court; not to leave Kyiv without the permission of the prosecutor or the court; notify the investigator, the prosecutor and the court about a change in their place of residence and work; and also refrain from communicating with witnesses and other suspects in this case.
Also, Mykola Solsky must hand over his foreign passport and wear an electronic bracelet.
At the same time, the specialized anti-corruption prosecutor’s office asked to arrest Solskyi and set a bail of 200 million UAH for him.
On the eve of this, Mykola Solskyi wrote a resignation letter. According to him, the application will be considered at one of the nearest plenary sessions.
“I have written a statement of resignation from the post of minister. In such a situation, I consider it the right step. If the Verkhovna Rada decides to accept my resignation, I will be grateful for such a decision, decides that I should continue to work – I will continue to work,” the statement reads.
It will be recalled that on April 23 NABU accused the Minister of Agricultural Policy of seizing state land worth UAH 291 million and attempting to seize land worth another UAH 190 million.
