New concrete fortifications were spotted in the port of Berdyansk.
Deputy Mayor of Mariupol, Petro Andryushchenko, reported this.
According to him, similar concrete fortifications were already installed in fortifications along the Nikolske-Berdyansk line.
“New concrete fortifications in the port. In view of the recent strengthening of engineering units and the continuation of construction in the Berdyansk district, these fortifications will go there,” Petro Andryushchenko wrote.
In December 2023, it became known that the Russians are digging fortifications in the port of Berdyansk, deploying anti-aircraft defenses, and also setting up shelters.
Viktor Dudukalov, the deputy chairman of the Berdyansk District Council, added that the port has total control.
“It can be argued that today the port is a completely military facility that the occupiers have equipped for their military needs,” the official said.
As previously reported by USM, the SBU reported the suspicion to Russian government officials, who used the occupied Berdyansk seaport to transfer Russian troops to the front.
