A sea mine was destroyed on the coast of Odesa region (video)

The anchor mine, which was brought to the coast of Odesa region, was neutralized by controlled detonation.
An anchor mine was discovered and destroyed by military sailors on Tuesday, May 7, according to the Navy of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Ammunition washed up on the coast of one of the beaches of Odesa region. It was neutralized by means of controlled detonation with observance of all necessary safety measures.
“In general, during the war with the Russian Federation, military sailors have already destroyed dozens of similar mines – both underwater and drifting or those that washed up on the coast,” the report said.
Currently, the ban on staying on unverified areas of the coast continues to apply in the region.
We would like to remind you that in case of detection of suspicious or explosive objects, in no case should you approach them, touch them or try to move/dispose of them yourself. If such items are discovered, the relevant services must be notified.
As previously reported by USM, the Black Sea Mine Action Task Force plans to start its work in July this year.
The group was formed by three countries — Romania, Bulgaria, and Turkey — and aims to clear the Black Sea of mines that got there as a result of Russia’s full-scale attack on Ukraine.
