Vysotskyi: 87% of all agricultural products are exported via the maritime corridor

87% of all Ukrainian agricultural products are exported from the ports of Great Odesa.

“This year, it is planned to sow enough to meet the domestic needs of Ukrainians and for export,” said Acting Minister of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine Taras Vysotskyi.

According to him, in 2023, more than 80 million tons of grain and oil crops were harvested in Ukraine.

“In 2023, Ukrainian farmers exported products worth almost 22 billion dollars. This is an important signal to the world that Ukraine is ready to produce and deliver food to those who need it. Especially with regard to the export of grain to the countries of Africa and Asia,” said Taras Vysotskyi.

He also said that the Ukrainian maritime corridor is showing good results. Thus, 87% of all agricultural products are exported from the ports of Great Odesa.

“In general, in 2024, it is planned to sow enough grain and oil crops to meet the domestic needs of Ukrainians and for export. Therefore, Ukraine will remain among the leaders of grain and oil exporters,” Taras Vysotsky emphasized.

As previously reported by USM, in April Ukrainian ports processed almost 10 million tons of cargo. The largest specific weight in April is the processing of grain cargoes — 6.3 million tons (against 3.9 million tons in 2023).
