UGA asks the government to approve “economic reservation” to save the economy

The Ukrainian Grain Association asks the government to approve “economic reservation” to preserve the economy and skilled workers.

The Association appealed to the President of Ukraine, the Prime Minister, and the Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada, UGA reported.

UGA noted that the work of enterprises in the agrarian sector is possible only under the conditions of minimal certainty that there will be qualified employees and managers who work and organize the work of enterprises on a daily basis.

UGA emphasized that the work of agro-industrial enterprises is impossible without the presence of qualified personnel with a narrow specialty, knowledge of technologies, machines and mechanisms involved in production, as well as the presence of all tolerances for compliance with labor safety techniques, the preparation of which requires time and experience.

“We are convinced that in order to solve the issue of retaining highly qualified workers, and thus preserving the functioning of enterprises, an additional mechanism for booking conscripts – the so-called “economic reservation” is needed. The essence of this mechanism will be that it will ensure the preservation of a critical number of employees at enterprises, which adds predictability to business and guarantees its work, even under the condition of increased mobilization measures,” the Association commented.
